The search for a missing man has been called off after a body was found by police. 

Michael Katz was reported missing from Halstead, near Sudbury, on Saturday. 

A spokesman for Essex Police has since confirmed that a body was discovered on Saturday night. 

Officers found the body on land between Stisted and Greenstead Green. 

Although formal identification is yet to take place, Mr Katz's family has been informed. 

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.
