The A12 has reopened following a car crash in north Essex this morning.
National Highways announced the closure was between junction 28 near Colchester and junction 27 near Lexden after a collision involving two cars on Wednesday morning.
Essex Police and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service were on the scene.

A spokesman for Essex police said: "We were called to a collision on the London-bound A12 at junction 28 shortly after 10am this morning.
"The collision involved two vehicles and a road closure was put in place whilst emergency services attended."
The A12 has now reopened.
