Drivers in Suffolk are being warned of possible delays along major roads ahead of more abnormal loads moving across the county next week.

Officers from Suffolk police are set to escort a 62-tonne rotor along parts of the A14 and A12 on Wednesday, March 13.

The load movement will be spread across two convoys heading from Sizewell in east Suffolk to Rotherham in South Yorkshire.

The first convoy will leave at 12pm with the second following at 2pm.

It will affect local roads as well as the B1122, A12, A14 and the A12 Essex border.

The new movements come after drivers in Suffolk were delayed by four abnormal loads this week.

On Friday, March 15 a 51-tonne plant will be arriving at Sizewell from Birmingham.

It will affect traffic on the A14 from the Cambridge border, A12, B1122, Lover's Lane and local roads to the site.

Suffolk police will escort it from the Martlesham layby on the A12 at 11.30am.
