A 37-year-old man has denied causing the death of a motorcyclist by carless driving while under the influence of drugs.
Stuart Burrows, of Millfields in Darsham, pleaded not guilty to causing the death of William Kerslake by careless driving while under the influence of drugs at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday.
Burrows is alleged to have been driving a Ford Fiesta without due care or attention and colliding with Mr Kerslake, 57, on the B1122 in Theberton on June 27 last year.
The trial is fixed for September 15, 2025 and the defendant has been granted unconditional bail.
Mr Kerslake was the chairman of Halesworth Town FC.
The club said they were "devastated" to learn of the death of Mr Kerslake.
