Two new environmentally-friendly homes could be built in Creeting St Mary.
Outline planning permission has been sought from Mid Suffolk District Council for a four-bedroom and five-bedroom house, each with a cart lodge, north of All Saints Road.
They would be built from Suffolk red brick, with triple glazing, LED lighting, and solar panels.
Creeting has seen a lot of development in recent years and the site in question is nestled between two developments each of four homes.
The homes would be built to have only a limited impact on the environment. They would be airtight and have Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery to recover energy and provide fresh air, private water treatment units to deal with waste water, and wildlife stacks in the garage walls.
A new access point would be created off All Saints Road with each house having off-road parking, driveways made of permeable material, and electric vehicle charging points.
Construction would also be waste-free, with packing and pallets being recycled.
A consultation is now taking place.
