A cafe has announced plans to host a special foodie night allowing guests to indulge in cheese and chocolate platters. 

Danie Curd achieved her dreams when opening Quality Eats in Bury St Edmunds in October last year.

The coffee shop started as a catering company during the pandemic in 2020 but grew to open the first outlet serving coffee and homemade baked goods.

"This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember," said Ms Curd.

Quality Eats has shared that a new event will be taking place next month with a night all about cheese and chocolate. 

Guests will be able to dine on Snowdonia black bomber cheddar, Somerset creamy brie and Montagnola Blue as well as sweet treats including dark chocolate and praline tart, white chocolate and raspberry blondies, and Dairy Milk chocolate cheesecake. 

All the cheeses will be served with crackers, water biscuits, chutneys and grapes.

"This is a special night as we are donating 50% of our profits to go into our WiSH charity pot," said Ms Curd.

"We are funding for the G4 ward at West Suffolk Hospital to help get them an activity assistant for those who suffer with dementia and delirium. 

"There will also be a chance to enter in a raffle and win prizes also throughout your evening."

The full range of drinks served at the cafe will be available to purchase on the night of the event or guests can bring their own wine, bubbly or port for a £2.50 corkage fee per bottle. 

The event will take place on Friday, May 3, at the coffee shop in Lawson Place in the Moreton Hall Estate. 

Tickets cost £16.25 plus a £5 deposit per person which is non refundable if less than 48 hours notice of cancellation is given.
