Plans have been submitted to build two flats above shops and one home behind in the middle of a town centre.
If the proposal is given the green light the new apartments will be built above the recently opened Imarri in Market Hill in Sudbury.
According to the application form, two flats and one dwelling could be built in the town centre if plans are approved.

If the go-ahead is given by the council, the two-bedroom house will be built at the back of the existing shops and be spread out over two floors.
The two one-bedroom flats will both be built above the shop floors.
The design and access statement submitted alongside the application said: "Internally, the works are required to comply with Building Regulations requirements and ensure that sufficient fireproofing exists between commercial and residential elements.
"The works are reversible and do not harm the character of the building, having not removed fabric or covered up important visual or historic features."
