Just like the BBC's Race Across the World, contestants must manage on a limited budget, utilise five different methods of transport, and shun internet and smartphone use.
They are encouraged to engage with locals to assist their journey.
Teams can be private or affiliated with organisations such as schools, businesses or societies.
Private teams are expected to raise £1,000, whilst organisations are asked to fundraise £1,500 per team.

Previous participants said: “The kindness of almost everyone we met, the public, the volunteers and the other teams.
