Drivers will be left facing a 36-mile diversion route while a major route near a Suffolk town is closed.
The A1071 Hadleigh bypass will be closed between 7pm to 5am from May 7 to May 11 while urgent work is carried out.
While the road is closed Suffolk Highways will be carrying out surface dressing preparation works.

According to the Suffolk County Council website the diversion route is 36 miles long.
The diversion route is so long as it takes drivers along A roads.
This is because some vehicles like HGVs cannot go down smaller roads that others would use as shortcuts.
