A man has admitted murdering his wife in a west Suffolk town.
On Wednesday, Olubunmi Abodunde appeared in the dock at Ipswich Crown Court and pleaded guilty to murder.
Abodunde, 48, was accused of killing his wife, Taiwo Abodunde, at their family home in Exning Road, Newmarket, in November last year and only pleaded guilty after the jury had been sworn in for his trial.
He had initially denied the charge.
Mrs Abodunde was found dead on November 28 last year.
Police officers arrived at the property at 9.55am, where they discovered the body of Mrs Abodunde.
Paramedics were in attendance, but Mrs Abodunde was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers arrested her husband and a 38-year-old man, who was later released and faced no further action.
