Two people detained for possession of class A drugs are among a number of arrests to be made in a west Suffolk town centre.
Officers were on patrol in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday as part of an engagement event in the town.
A spokesman for the force said five people were arrested for a range of offences.
Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested for possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
A man was arrested for failing to comply with a community protection notice he was issued with to help prevent anti-social behaviour.
Two women allegedly responsible for thefts from town centre shops were located and a number of stolen items recovered.
