A 36-year-old man has been jailed after stealing hundreds of pounds worth of food and drink from a supermarket.
Jason Glasgow was charged with nine counts of theft from a shop following a £400 spree of thefts from a Co-op store between March 15 and April 9.
The offences took place at the branch in Hawthorn Avenue in Colchester.
Glasgow, of Arnold Drive in Colchester, was jailed for 12 weeks at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on April 18.

In addition to being jailed, he was given a three criminal behaviour order, preventing him from entering any Co-op store in Essex.
Glasgow was also ordered to pay £1,158.84 in compensation.
