A gastropub has been named among the best local eateries in Britain by a prestigious guide.
The Good Food Guide is currently searching for the top 100 local restaurants across the country.
Readers can nominate their favourite places to dine and have been given the following criteria; being independently run, offering seasonal menus at a reasonable price, and being rooted in the community with strong relationships with local suppliers and customers.
The Good Food Guide has shared the 16 restaurants topping the list so far at the halfway mark.

The Greyhound Inn in Pettistree is in thirteenth but could move up the ranking before the nominations close in three weeks.
The gastropub near Woodbridge was also recently named one of the best in the UK by Estrella Damm.
It reopened in November 2022 under the ownership of friends Cassidy Hughes and Will Orrock.
The Suffolk freehouse has a seasonal menu, wine list and local cask beer.
It is open from midday Wednesday through to Sunday serving dinner from 6pm.
