There were long delays on the A14 after police were called to a two-vehicle crash.
Emergency services were called after reports of an incident involving two cars near Newmarket at about 3.20pm on Friday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said one lane of the westbound carriageway was closed as a result of the crash.
Fire and ambulance crews were also called, but the extent of any injuries is not yet known.
