A five-vehicle crash was causing long delays on the A14.
Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway near Tuddenham at about 7.50am on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said officers were called to a crash involving five vehicles.
They were then called to a two-vehicle crash involving a lorry and a car in the westbound carriageway closer to Bury St Edmunds a short while after.
No serious injuries have been reported.
According to the AA Traffic Maps there were delays of around 20 minutes in the area.
Traffic cameras located on the A14 showed traffic at a complete standstill.
