Emergency services are carrying out riverbank searches for a missing 86-year-old man.
Hugh Edgecombe was last seen in Long Melford at about 2pm on Wednesday.
An appeal was launched to find the 86-year-old in the Suffolk village as police described Mr Edgecombe as "high risk".
Now emergency services look to be focusing their search along the river bank of the River Stour in Liston Lane.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: "We are carrying out a number of enquiries to find Hugh, including tracing his movements on CCTV and doorbell footage in the local area.
“Police have been assisted by a helicopter from the National Police Air Service, Suffolk Fire and Rescue and volunteers from Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR).
“Our searches today will be focussed on the River Stour.”
Three appliances from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene and crews are currently using poles to search the area.
On Wednesday the National Police Air Service helicopter was called to help with the search.
The helicopter arrived in the village about 10.10pm to assist searchers on the ground.
Mr Edgecombe is described as a white male who is 5ft 10ins tall with a medium build and grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a navy-blue waterproof jacket, black shorts and black shoes.
Mr Edgecombe was also carrying a walking stick and yellow shopping bag.
