A person has died after being hit by a train, police have confirmed.
Greater Anglia confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that services between Ipswich and Norwich were cancelled after an incident on the line between the two stations.
The rail company said the 12.32pm Norwich to London Liverpool Street train was being held at Needham Market.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the line near Needham Market railway station at 1.08pm on Wednesday to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
