An overturned tractor is causing severe delays on the A14 in west Suffolk.

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash in the eastbound carriageway near Kentford, outside Newmarket, at about 8.10am on Friday.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said the tractor collided with the central reservation and overturned.

Both lanes are currently blocked as a result of the crash and the eastbound carriageway is expected to remain closed for some time as the tractor has leaked fuel onto the road.

Police, ambulance crew and Highways East are currently in attendance to the incident.

According to the AA Traffic Map there are long delays in the area and drivers are being advised to find alternative routes.

The spokesman confirmed that no serious injuries have been reported.
