A former Bury St Edmunds café is one step closer to becoming an Italian restaurant as a licencing application has been submitted to the district council.
A proposal by Delil Simsek before West Suffolk Council's licencing team includes proposed changes at 31 Abbeygate Street, which was formerly Really Rather Good café before that business closed in April.
The new application seeks to amend the opening hours to 10am to 10.30pm Monday to Wednesday, 10am to 11.30pm Thursday to Saturday and 10am to 9.30pm on Sunday.
It also seeks to amend alcohol sales times to 11am to 10pm Monday to Wednesday, 11am to 11pm Thursday to Saturday and 11am to 9pm Sunday.
Italian Trattoria & Café is currently refurbishing the premises in Abbeygate Street in the west Suffolk town.
The new restaurant will be run by the owner of Francela, a Mediterranean grill and mezze in Angel Hill.
It is hoped the new restaurant will be open before the end of July, it was previously reported.
