A building used for counselling in Stowmarket is set to be converted into a residential house.
Raedan House, in Childer Road in the mid Suffolk town, has been used by Phoenix Counselling Practice for nearly 20 years, but the service is closing due to financial pressures.
An application has been made to Mid Suffolk District Council to determine if prior approval is required for the change of use.
The traditional town house with high ceilings and wooden floors, has a kitchen, dining room, lounge, four bedrooms and an attached garage.
It was previously a residential house before it was converted for commercial, business and service use in 2005.
Phoenix Counselling was founded in 2004 to provide confidential and affordable sessions to those seeking support.
Some of the counsellors who currently use the property as a base are looking to hire a room together elsewhere.
The council will now consider the application and determine if a full application for change of use is required.
