Emergency Services at fire in Victoria Street, Felixstowe

Fourteen appliances including an aerial ladder were at the scene or on their way to the incident on Wednesday evening.

Crews from Ipswich East, Woodbridge, Princes Street, Holbrook, Felixstowe and Needham Market were deployed to the scene.

They were called to an ongoing incident in Victoria Street at 6.30pm.

There were initial calls about a bin fire previously, but the fire service received multiple calls referencing thick black smoke.  

The police were on the scene and there was a road closure in place.

No injuries have been reported.
