Roadworks which have caused traffic disruptions in an east Suffolk town for more than a month will continue for another two weeks.
Roman Way in Halesworth has been closed since Saturday, May 4 to allow workers to carry out gas works but Suffolk Highways has now said that the road will remain closed until Friday, June 14.

The east Suffolk road was meant to open this week but this has been delayed in order to guarantee the completion of the works.

Continued delays are expected in the area as traffic signals will remain in place along the A144 London Road.
A 15-mile diversion route will also remain in place along the B117 and B116 while the works are completed.
Access to the road will be maintained for residents.
