A prominent animal charity is marking it's 200th anniversary with nationwide festivities.

The RSPCA will be celebrating its bicentennial with a series of events throughout England and Wales, including numerous festivities scheduled in Suffolk.

As part of the RSPCA's One Fun Day, the RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch is hosting a two-day event featuring activities suited for all family members.

On June 15, the RSPCA Charity Shop and Café located in Unit 5, The Bartons Retail Park, Bury St Edmunds, will host a creative crafting day.

Taking place from 11am to 4pm, the event promises a range of engaging activities for adults and children, offering attendees the chance to craft a bird feeder, a dog toy, or a snuffle mat.

Following the crafting day, the RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch will host its One Fun Day and Dog Show on June 16.

Set to take place at the Earl Stonham Village Hall from 11.30am to 3.30pm, the event features a day of refreshments, games, crafts, and animal-related stalls.

The dog show, commencing at 1pm, will also include a special Dads 'n' Dogs class to mark Father's Day.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the branch's fundraising and educational endeavours and how they can contribute to the cause through volunteering and participating in future fundraising events, such as the Down Dog 200 yoga challenge and Ipswich Half Marathon.

There are more than 70 events being organised across the country in various RSPCA animal centres, shops, and other unexpected locales, as part of the RSPCA's extensive 200th anniversary celebration.

Each One Fun Day event is uniquely structured, providing a varied assortment of activities and entertainment for visitors.
