A former Ipswich man accused of downloading indecent images of children will have to wait until January 2026 for his trial.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday (June 6) for a plea and trial preparation hearing was 67-year-old David Davenport of Ager Road, Witham, Essex, formerly of Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich.
He pleaded not guilty to making four indecent images of children in the most serious level A category, seven indecent images of children in category B and four images in the least serious level C category.
His trial, which is expected to last four days, will get underway on January 12 2026 and is due to the backlog of cases in the criminal justice system.
A further case management hearing will take place on October 29 this year and a pre-trial review will take place on December 19 next year.
Davenport is on unconditional bail.
