A 28-year-old man from Felixstowe has been handed a driving ban after he failed to provide police with a specimen of breath.
Ayrton Gray, of Walton Avenue in the resort, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich.
He was charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis in relation to a incident on March 17 this year in Felixstowe.
According to a court listing, Gray failed to provide a breath reading when required to by police.
Gray admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates.
He was disqualified from driving for a period of 18 months, which can be reduced by 18 weeks upon the successful completion of a course.
Gray was also handed a community order and told comply with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend appointments over the next 12 months.
In addition, he was instructed to complete 120 hours of unpaid work over the next year and told to pay posts to the Crown Prosecution Service of £105.
Gray's guilty plea was taken into consideration in sentencing.
