A road in a west Suffolk town has been closed after a fire broke out in a flat.
Emergency services were called to George Lambton Avenue in Newmarket, in west Suffolk, at about 3.10pm on Monday to reports of a fire at the first floor of a block of flats.
Four crews battled the blaze wearing breathing apparatus and a jet hose and were able to put the fire out at about 3.45pm.

Meanwhile, the road was closed by Suffolk police in order to maintain public safety.

A spokesman said no one was injured or trapped during the fire.
Crews from Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket fire stations were in attendance.
Police said the road was expected to reopen at 4.45pm.
