The former premises of an accountancy firm currently under investigation as part of a tax refunds dispute has been cleared out and put up for sale.

Apostle Accounting, which was based in Marriotts Walk in Stowmarket, was wound up in October 2023.

It has now emerged that its former premises has been put up for sale.

The office, which has a maisonette on the two floors above, is on the market for £275,000.

It is not clear if Apostle is the owner of the property.

Pictures taken from inside show the office space has been completely cleared out, with no desks, computers or cabinets remaining.

An investigation into Apostle is currently being carried out by detectives.

The Eastern Region Special Operations Unit executed a warrant at a commercial unit in Stowmarket - but did not specify where - in May as part of its enquiries.

Apostle, which was founded by Zoe Goodchild 12 years ago, was hit with claims that former clients were made to repay tax refunds sought through the firm.

Clients said they used Apostle to claim a tax refund, but HM Revenue & Customs later claimed they were not entitled to the money.

Apostle has denied any wrongdoing throughout the investigation.
