Speed cameras clocked a motorcyclist travelling at nearly 130mph on the A12.

On Friday morning, a police spokesman confirmed that a motorcyclist was caught travelling on the A12 at 129mph near Pettistree, close to Wickham Market and Woodbridge, in east Suffolk.

Police said a postal notice of intended prosecution will be sent to the registered owner of this vehicle.

Police also warned that this type of driving is extremely dangerous and that speeding is one of the 'fatal four' offences which pose a risk to drivers' lives.

The owner will have to provide the details of who was riding the vehicle and this individual will then be summoned to court.
