The A11 in west Suffolk was closed for more than five hours last night due to a fire coming from a van.
Emergency services were called to the A11 near Mildenhall, between junction A1063 and the B1085, near Kennett, to reports of a van which was "well alight" at about 8.40pm on Monday.

The road was closed immediately and fire services from Brandon, Mildenhall and Thetford stations attended the scene.

Crews were then able to put out the fire at about 10.05pm using jet pipes and breathing apparatus.
A National Highways spokesman confirmed the road was reopened just before 3am when recovery finished clearing the scene.
