Plans have been lodged seeking permission to demolish a house in a village and build five new homes in its place.
Last & Tricker has submitted the proposals on behalf of the applicants for land at Brook House in Elmsett Road in Aldham, near Hadleigh.
A planning document visible on Babergh District Council's planning portal said the property at the site would be brought down to make way for the new small estate.
The document said: "The new dwellings comprise of two pairs of three bed semi-detached dwellings and one four-bedroom detached dwelling. The site is considered appropriate for this level of development.
"The proposed layout has all dwellings facing east towards the street with rear gardens to the west.
"The layout of the proposed development and new dwellings has been informed by its relationship to the surrounding pattern of development and the need to provide a development that fits in this location and relates well to its neighbours.
"The design of the new dwellings is intended to fit well in this rural context."
