A town pub that has been closed for two years will be given a new lease of life as it is set to open.
The Bell in Clare, near Sudbury, closed its doors in 2022 and, on Monday evening, the new owner announced on social media that it would be opening its doors on Wednesday from 12pm to 11pm.
They added: "We are very excited to announce that The Bell Hotel, Clare, will be opening our doors this Wednesday July 10 for a soft opening only.
"Food will commence from Monday 15th," they added.
The pub will be showing the England vs Netherlands semi-final Euros match on all seven of its TV screens.
They added that they have two pool tables and a sports room in the newly renovated pub.
The Bell in Clare closed a few months after a man was attacked with an axe in the establishment.
In April 2023, David Perry, of St Margarets Place, Stradishall, near Newmarket, was jailed for 24 years for the attempted murder, and handed an 18-month sentence for possession of a weapon, to be served concurrently.
