Proposals to build 210 new homes - including about 70 for social housing - are to be shown off in the village of Thurston.
Developers Barratt and David Wilson Homes (Anglia) has launched a public consultation on its proposal for new homes and open space east of Ixworth Road in the village near Bury St Edmunds.
Next week they will be holding special events where the local community can view and comment on the plans.
Outline planning permission was granted after an appeal to the government last year for up to 210 new homes here.
Barratt and David Wilson have now bought the site and are currently preparing proposals for the appearance of the new homes, landscaping, housing layout and scale.
The developers want local residents in Thurston to have their say on the draft proposal and the feedback will be taken into account when the final design is submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council planners later this summer.
There is an online webinar next Monday from 6pm to 8pm - contact andyansell@gnl-strategic to take part in that.
And there is an exhibition at the New Green Centre in New Green Avenue, Thurston, next Tuesday between 4pm and 8pm.
The proposed properties will range starter homes to large family homes - and 35% will be built as social housing. They will have high environmental standards and built with heat pumps and electric vehicle charting points.
The proposal also includes public spaces, nature areas and a contribution towards village amenities.
A spokesperson for the developers said: “We’re delighted to launch our consultation to seek feedback from the community to help make sure our proposal delivers the maximum number of benefits for Thurston.
“With the principle of new homes here already established by the outline planning permission, we are looking forward to collaborating with the community to design the details of how the homes will look."
