With a celebrity chef restaurant and pub and a street food hub exploring cuisines from across the globe, here is why this Suffolk town is an up and coming hotspot for foodies.

There are many towns and villages in the county people flock to for good food, including Bury St Edmunds and Long Melford.

With recent restaurant openings as well as future food related plans, Felixstowe can also be added to the list of up-and-coming foodie destinations.

Those wishing to savour dishes from different countries can do so at Beach Street in Micklegate Road just a short walk away from the beach.

The food and shopping hub offers a range of cuisine ranging from pan-Asian at Big Bro Bao to South American at La Casa Latina.

Throughout the year Beach Street hosts street food festivals - with the next one due to take place on September 20 and 21.

Felixstowe also has a foodie future, with more places to grab a bite to eat expected to open in the town.

The former LOVE Antiques in Hamilton Road is set to become a bespoke bakery for the town.

It follows the openings of Little Dreams, Cookie Barista and Old Skool Afterz earlier this year.
