Suffolk Fire and Rescue have deployed three crews to tackle three fires ongoing on a road next to the A12.
At 12.43pm Friday, reports of open fires on the B1123 were called into Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service.
The fires are about 100 metres by 30 metres in size and crews from Wrentham, Halesworth and Lowestoft South.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: "We have 3 appliances out fighting three spreading fires on the B1123 near Halesworth.
"The fires were spreading over the road and we had crews and a farmer blocking the road.
"At 2pm the fire was brought under control, crews are now hot-spotting."
Police attended and the road was closed.
No injuries have been recorded and the incident is ongoing.
