An abnormal load movement which would have caused disruption to motorists travelling through Suffolk has been postponed.
Suffolk Highways previously announced a 365-tonne and 81m long generator would be escorted from Ipswich Docks to the Synchronous Condenser Plant in Yaxley, near Eye, across two consecutive Sundays starting on August 11.
Details of the plans included the closure of the A140 from interchange for the A14 to the A143 roundabout near Scole from 11am until 6pm as well as the installation of a rolling road block on the A14.
