A woman from Bury St Edmunds who set her dog on a police officer has been disqualified from keeping animals for five years.
Peyton Mcarry, of Chalk Road South in the west Suffolk town, encouraged her dog, a Mali cross, to bite an officer while they were on duty in her home, Suffolk police.
The incident took place on Wednesday, January 24 and the officer was unhurt.
Mcarry, 29, admitted to being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control when she appeared before magistrates.
Appearing in Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Friday, August 9, Mcarry was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 in costs and a victim surcharge of £48.
The dog was put down by a vet, police confirmed.
