A 24-year-old driver from a mid Suffolk town who failed to provide a specimen for analysis when required by police has been handed a suspended sentence.
Adam Whipps, of Combs Lane, Stowmarket, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich.
He was charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
Both offences were alleged to have taken place on March 29 this year in the mid Suffolk town.
Whipps admitted both charges when he appeared before magistrates at the court.
For failing to provide a specimen, he was handed a suspended sentence of eight weeks, with a supervision period of 12 months.
For the second charge, he was told to pay a fine of £500, £105 in costs owed to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £154.
A collection order was made for the sums.
Whipps' two guilty pleas were taken into account at sentencing, a court listing said.
