Organisers behind a charity art trail have questioned the "motive" of individuals who have targeted animal sculptures stationed around a Suffolk town.
The Blossom Charity in Eye has been forced to move all sculptures involved in its safari art trail behind shop windows after two of them were stolen.
Hazina the elephant and Camo Croc were taken from their plinths overnight between Monday and Tuesday.
While both have since been returned, the charity has taken the decision to move them in order for people to still enjoy the trail.
"It is frustrating," said Clare Jackson, fundraising manager for the charity, which helps women and men get their lives back on track.
"When we discovered yesterday the animal had gone we had to leap into action."
During the day, Claire said there were "so many people" out doing the trail.
It is not the first time the trail has fallen victim to crime.
In July, an Ipswich Town-themed owl was vandalised overnight, before the perpetrator eventually came forward to help rectify the situation.
The latest setback has made Ms Jackson question the motive of the individuals who stole the sculptures.
She said: "The time taken up to do it and the upset of people, it's not great.
"It just makes you question the motive. I don't think we will ever know the reason why it happened, but we found a way. We have a motto there is always a way."
Ms Jackson added that shopkeepers have been helpful in accommodating the display to help it continue.
"The town gets behind us so much. As soon as we heard, we walked around and spoke to shopkeepers and they straight away said: 'Absolutely. I can make my window clear and we can have it in there.'"
The animals will be in place until week commencing Monday, September 9.
