The driver of a car that crashed into a pub while drinkers were enjoying their Friday night pints has been charged over the incident.

Natasha Searle, 25, of Henry Ward Road, Harleston, has been charged with driving without insurance, failing to report an accident and failing to stop after an accident.

The charges relate to a crash on High Road in Wortwell on 17 May, when a car smashed into the Wortwell Bell Pub at around 11.30pm.

Despite customers still being in the pub, none of them were hurt according to landlord Paul Holland.

Following the crash, members of the community rallied in support to help clear up the debris so that the pub could reopen.
