Building work on a new Starbucks on the edge of a Suffolk town is nearing completion.
The new coffee-shop with drive-thru is being built off Weaver Meadow Close, Hadleigh.
The new store is close to the A1071, with access from Ellen Aldous Avenue.
In May this year the framework of the new store appeared with workers starting on the new coffee shop that will span just under 200 square metres and create around 20 new jobs in the town.
An opening date is yet to be announced.
Babergh District Council gave Starbucks the go ahead in October 2023 to build a new store in Hadleigh.
Neighbours had previously raised concerns that the site's location, close to a busy roundabout, would cause traffic and parking problems.
They also expressed concern that the popular chain would attract customers from small independent cafés located around the town.
Speaking previously, councillor Helen Davies, the vice chair of the committee, explained the decision: “While we feel for the local residents, we cannot refuse a planning application unless there are strong defendable reasons for doing so and unfortunately there weren’t in this case."
