A fire next to a house in a west Suffolk town is being treated as arson by police as they launch an investigation. 

Emergency services were called at about 4.11am on Sunday to Aldham Court, near Leiston Road, Haverhill, to reports of a fire next to a home.

Upon arrival crews found that a bin, fence and chest of drawers were ablaze outside the home.

Nobody was hurt and the fire was put out at about 4.40am.

Police now say they are investigating the incident as a possible arson but no arrests have been made yet.
