A Suffolk airbase has issued a noise warning as it gears up to host visiting aircraft.
RAF Mildenhall posted the notice on its Facebook page on Friday.
It said: "Over the next several weeks, RAF Mildenhall will be hosting visiting aircraft.
"There will likely be an increase in the noise level and frequency of aircraft taking off as we train to maintain readiness to support our regional allies and partners and continue to improve security and defence to the European theatre."
The base, near Bury St Edmunds, opened in 1934 and was used by RAF Bomber Command during the Second World War.
It has been a US Air Force operation since 1959.
