A new senior leader has been appointed for the Methodist Church in East Anglia.
The Reverend Helen Hollands took on the role of district chair at the start of September 2024.
She will oversee the Methodist churches and congregations in Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire.
Rev Hollands, who previously taught law at the University of Kent for more than a decade, began her ministry in Whitstable, Kent, and was most recently a Superintendent Minister in the South Kent Methodist Circuit.
Speaking about her new role, Rev Hollands said: “I am really looking forward to getting to know the district and particularly looking forward to getting to know the people in our Methodist churches and those from other denominations and faith communities.”

Rev Hollands is keen to address issues such as poverty and injustice faced by people living in the area.
She is excited to bring new experiences to the wider community and explore ways to explore faith, such as pilgrimage, Forest Church, and Messy Church.
Outside of her church duties, Rev Hollands enjoys long walks along the coast, travelling to Italy and ballroom dancing.
