A man has been fined for being in possession of an offensive weapon in an east Suffolk town.
The case of Piotr Szkodny was heard before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich.
Szkodny was facing a charge of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place, namely a telescopic extending baton, at an address in Undercliff Road West in Felixstowe.
According to court documents, the incident took place on March 31 earlier this year.
Szkodny pleaded guilty to the offence, and was fined £353. He will also pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge towards victim services of £141.
This brings the total Szkodny will have to pay to £579.
