Plans to create a new wellness centre in a village have been re-submitted after original plans were rejected.
If given the green light, the new wellness centre will be built at Second Meadow Stables, Brent Eleigh Road in Lavenham, near Sudbury.
The outline planning application for the project has been submitted to Babergh District Council.
It comes after previous plans were refused by the council following concerns of flooding and lack of accessibility.
However, the design and access statement for the proposal states the applicant has addressed the reasons for refusal and carried out further research to improve the overall application.
Since the previous refusal, the applicant has been in "extensive discussions" with the Environment Agency in order to ensure that the proposal not only does not increase flood risk but improves the situation in the area of the site.
The centre, which will be within walking distance of the centre of the village, would have a restaurant, cafe, swimming pool, yoga area, gym and sauna.
The applicant also believes the proposal will contribute towards local employment as it will offer a range of jobs, including roles suited to and suitable for younger people as as well as additional volunteer roles.
The application has received 21 public comments, with 20 in support of the development.
One person who supports the proposal said: "It will be good for the village and for people of all ages who want to maintain fitness and stability."
According to the design and access statement the new wellness centre would make Lavenham a more sustainable community by providing a type of valuable and well-used facility that does not currently exist within the village or within walking distance of the village.
