A staff member who served Ed Sheeran at a Suffolk fish and chip shop has complimented the Suffolk star's "down to earth" character.
Ed Sheeran was spotted at Aldeburgh Fish & Chip Shop in East Suffolk in September after filming a video for Spotify showcasing his favourite Suffolk landmarks.
The video came as Sheeran reached 12 songs with more than a billion streams on the platform as the star visited 12 spots in the county which inspired him.
In the video, the Suffolk star can be seen ordering scampi, chips and a battered sausage after visiting Suffolk landmarks such as Framlingham Castle and his old school, Thomas Mills High School.
David Henderson, manager at Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Shop, who served the pop star, said: "We were given a prewarning by the Spotify team that someone famous was coming but we didn't know who it was.
"When he turned up it was a lovely revelation - even though we suspected it might be him. I am a big fan and have been to his concerts before, so while I was thinking this is a bit crazy that I am serving this global superstar!"
Mr Henderson, 34, who has been working at Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Shop since he was 19, added: "We were just so impressed by how down to earth and lovely he was.
"He wanted to queue outside with everyone else, but because it was so busy and he was getting crowded, it was decided he should come round the side.
"He just seemed like such a genuine and chilled-out guy."
Sheeran then thanked the staff and finished the video on Aldeburgh beach as he tucked into his fried food and paused to say: "This is what England is about!"
Aldeburgh Fish & Chip Shop was recently named among the best in the UK in the Love Food Guide.
