A Felixstowe man has been ordered to pay more than £500 in costs after pleading guilty to possessing crack cocaine.
Andrew Ward, 37, of Lincoln Terrace, in Felixstowe, appeared at Suffolk Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Ward admitted to being in possession of crack cocaine on April 21 this year.
The magistrates were told that on the night of the incident, the 37-year-old was ejected from a nightclub in west Felixstowe, after which he was seen with a bag of the class-A drug.
He pleaded guilty to the offence and said that the drug was only for his use, and not to sell to anyone else.
As part of his sentence, magistrates ordered him to pay £300 in costs.
Ward was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £120 and an additional £85 in costs – taking his total to £505.
