Lord Lieutenant opens new EADT and Ipswich Star office

The Lord Lieutenant, Clare, Countess of Euston, cut the ribbon to officially mark the opening of our new offices at Hyde Park House in Crown Street, Ipswich.

Lady Clare was accompanied by former editor and Deputy Lieutenant, Terry Hunt, and was introduced to some of the papers' many customers and friends.

Mr Pease – who recently celebrated one year of being in the top job at the College said: “The EADT (and its sister paper the Ipswich Star) provide a vital and crucial service by reporting on the stories that matter in our community.

“It was an honour to present Liz and her team with this wonderful cake.

“Well done to our students and Daniel Russell-Poole for creating this culinary masterpiece.

“And massive congratulations to the EADT. Here’s to the next 150 years and beyond.”

Liz said: "It's wonderful to be back in Ipswich at last with our lovely new office in the heart of the town. We're really looking forward to a new chapter and to the next 150 years serving Suffolk and Ipswich.
