A Suffolk coastal town has been named among the best places in the UK for a 48-hour trip.
Holiday experts at Holiday Cottages believe that Aldeburgh is one of the best places in the country for a short two-day trip.
The Suffolk town is ranked fourth among six places listed, with Bakewell in Derbyshire claiming the top spot.
There is plenty to do in Aldeburgh whether it be enjoying the glorious pebble beach, visiting one of the many great restaurants or trying out some award-winning fish and chips.
Those looking for a place to stay are spoilt for choice but one place that constantly receives national recognition is The Suffolk.
The restaurant with rooms was recently added to the prestigious Good Food Guide in June with reviewers stating "we love the people and we love the place" referring to owner George Pell, who opened the restaurant two years ago.
The town has also been named one of the best places to live in the UK by the expert property finders at Garrington.
It was described as "one of Suffolk's gems" with its pastel-coloured houses serving as the backdrop to the pebble beach.
