Drivers faced delays as a major Suffolk road was closed.

The A1071 road was closed near the A1214 junction on Monday, November 25. 

It was closed from 10am to 3pm for highway repairs and maintenance works. 

The works included replacing centre lines, hatchings and bus stop markings. 

Drivers faced a 38-mile diversion route which was estimated to take about 45 minutes to complete. 

The diversion route took driver down the A1071, then towards the A134, then on the A12, the A1214 and on the A1071 and vice versa.
